Ringo Starr's All Starr Band Announces Las Vegas Concerts, Latin American Tour
Ringo Starr will taking the latest edition of his All Starr Band out on the road for yet another tour this fall. The trek will see the former Beatles drummer and his group of fellow rock luminaries visiting South America and Mexico before wrapping things up with a pair of shows, November 22 and 23 at The Palms in Las Vegas. A total of 12 concerts have been announced, although more dates will be added to Ringo's itinerary soon.
The current incarnation of the All Starr Band features Todd Rundgren, ex-Santana/Journey singer/keyboardist Gregg Rolie, Toto guitarist Steve Lukather and Mr. Mister singer/bassist Richard Page. The collective's last outing, which took place earlier this year, made stops in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
Meanwhile, fans who want to enjoy Ringo and the All Starr Band in the privacy of their own homes can check out the recently released Ringo at the Ryman DVD. The video was taped at Nashville's famed Ryman Auditorium on July 7, 2012, which was Starr's 72nd birthday. It features a hit-packed performance that includes appearances by such guest artists as Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh, The Rascals' Felix Cavaliere, Richard Marx and country stars Vince Gill, Brad Paisley and Kix Brooks, among others.
