Paul McCartney Schedules First-Ever Concert in Austin, Texas
Paul McCartney has lined up a new concert at one of the great music hubs of the Southern U.S. -- Austin, Texas.
The show, which will be the Beatles legend's first show ever in the city, will take place May 22 at the Frank Erwin Center. Tickets for the event will go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 12, at 10 a.m. CT via LiveNation.com and TexasBoxOffice.com. Pre-sale tickets will be made available to American Express cardholders from Tuesday at noon through Thursday at 10 p.m. CT.
The concert is the second stateside date Sir Paul has announced as part of his 2013 Out There World Tour. He also will play a July 9 gig at Boston's Fenway Park. In addition, McCartney's itinerary includes three May shows in Brazil, as well as concerts in June in Italy, Poland and Austria. Check out all of his confirmed tour dates at PaulMcCartney.com.
Meanwhile, a brief promotional video for the Out There trek has debuted on the rock icon's YouTube channel. The 16-second clip shows McCartney in a recording studio yelling into a microphone, "Hey, is there anybody out there?!" The last two words, "out there," then echo repeatedly before fading.
