Ex-Foreigner Singer Lou Gramm Lines Up Promotional Events for New Memoir

4/18/2013

Former Foreigner frontman Lou Gramm has scheduled a series of appearances to promote his upcoming autobiography, Juke Box Hero: My Five Decades in Rock 'n' Roll.  As previously announced, the singer will celebrate the book's arrival on May 4 with a special launch event at Monroe Community College in his hometown of Rochester, New York.  He'll follow that with visits to several stores in New York and New Jersey, at which he, along with his co-author, Scott Pitoniak, will sign copies of the memoir.

Gramm is slated to make stops in Rochester; New York City; Ridgewood, New Jersey; and Pittsford, New York.  At the New York City appearance, Gramm and Pitoniak also will take part in an interview.  In addition, Lou will sing the national anthem at a June 26 home game by the minor league baseball team the Rochester Red Wings, and also will be signing copies of Juke Box Hero for ticketholders.

In Juke Box Hero, Gramm tells his life story, including his childhood in Rochester, his rise to fame as Foreigner's frontman, his battles with substance abuse, his fight to regain his health after being stricken by a brain tumor and his more recent career as a solo artist.

The May 4 launch party will feature Gramm playing some acoustic tunes, discussing the book and fielding questions from the audience.  All attendees will receive an autographed copy of Juke Box Hero.
