Stevie Nicks will be in New York City on Wednesday to play a sold-out show as part of Dave Grohl's Sound City Players, the supergroup that features a variety of musicians that appear in Foo Fighters frontman's new Sound City documentary. While in town, the collective will pay a visit to CBS' The Late Show with David Letterman on Thursday night to give a performance that's expected to feature the Fleetwood Mac singer on lead vocals. Nicks performs a new song titled "You Can't Fix This" on the Sound City soundtrack, so there's a good chance that will be the tune she sings on Letterman.
Grohl, meanwhile, will drop by Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report on Wednesday to promote promote Sound City. As for the concert, which takes place at the Hammerstein Ballroom, the Sound City Players lineup will include Nicks, John Fogerty, Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen, Rick Springfield, all of the Foo Fighters and Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic, among others.
Grohl has said that he plans on staging Sound City Players concerts all over the world in the coming months. More dates for the supergroup are expected to be announced soon.
