Preparing for Steve Jobs Role Caused Ashton Kutcher Pain
So much for an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Ashton Kutcher says he became ill while preparing for his film about Apple visionary Steve Jobs because he was on an all-fruit diet.
Kutcher says he ate only fruit for his turn as Jobs, in accordance with the latter's purported diet. USA Today reports that after jOBS premiered Friday night at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, Kutcher said, "I went to the hospital like two days before we started shooting the movie. I was like doubled over in pain. My pancreas levels were completely out of whack."
Jobs died of pancreatic cancer in 2011.
A preview clip of jOBS was released last week, and the man who co-founded Apple with Jobs, Steve Wozniak, was not impressed. He told ABC's Good Morning America, "What I saw was just so far from anything that really happened or said in those days."
Wozniak is serving as a consultant on another Jobs film being written by Aaron Sorkin.
jOBS will hit theaters April 19.
