Concert-industry sources recently reported that the band was eyeing two shows each in November at the O2 Arena in London and the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, but there's been no official confirmation about the gigs.

In a recent interview with U.K. magazine Q, Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards pretty much confirmed reports that the band was planning to play shows in London and New York City this year.  Now, another member of the Stones camp has come forward with some additional details about the legendary rockers' upcoming performance plans.

In a conversation with Billboard, longtime Stones saxophone player Bobby Keys revealed that the group was "gonna do some more concerts, starting in November with two in England and then a couple here in the States, then there's a few added concerts after that."

He explained that Richards told him "a couple months ago" that preparations were under way for new Stones activity and that he should "be ready to go."

Keys added, "I'm waiting for them to send me the plane ticket and the information, and then I'll go."

The veteran musician also suggests to Billboard that the upcoming shows might just be The Stones' last.

"The reality is this train is going to pull into the last station pretty soon," he maintains.  "I don't know how soon.  I've been saying this since 1980.  But I feel like it's kind of winding down.  This may be sort of the 'Sayonara, see you later, had a good time, keep in touch.'"
