Michael Jackson's longtime costume designer and friend, Michael Bush, is promoting a new art-driven book about the King of Pop's wardrobe.
Titled King of Style: Dressing Michael Jackson, the book gives fans a look at the threads that Michael wore on and off the stage, including costumes, accessories, shoes and more. Bush lets readers in on his and Michael's collaborative process, sharing photos from behind the scenes. The book also includes Bush's personal stories and photographs, along with illustrations of clothing that Bush and Tompkins created for Michael's three solo mega-tours and in the videos for his Bad, Dangerous and HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I albums.
Bush, along with his partner Dennis Tompkins, worked with Michael for more than 24 years, crafting one-of-a-kind clothing. On Friday, Bush will drop in at Hard Rock Cafe New York to sign copies of his new book. He'll bring with him a collection of signature Michael clothing, including the trademark black leather jacket and pants that Michael wore on his Bad album cover.
