New Photo Exhibit Featuring Rare Rolling Stones Pics Opening in L.A. on Tuesday
As The Rolling Stones move ahead with plans to celebrate their 50th anniversary, fans in the Los Angeles area will have the chance to get a candid look at the band's early history at a new photo exhibition opening on Tuesday. The exhibit, titled "Found: Photographs of The Rolling Stones," features 23 rare snapshots of the band members taken during the British rock legends' 1965 U.S. tour.
ABC News reports that the pics, which were taken by an unknown photographer, were discovered recently in an unlabeled box at an estate sale in Southern, California. Among the photos are images of the original band members, as well as late Stones tour manager Ian Stewart, enjoying some downtime by hotel pools while in Savannah, Georgia, and Clearwater, Florida.
The exhibition will be on display at the Dilettante gallery until October 26. An opening reception is scheduled to take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. PT on Tuesday.
