John Williams - B-103 Classic Hits of the 70s, 80s, & More!

John Williams

I’m a native Long Islander, having been born when they called my birthplace “Nassau Hospital.” I was around when there was a “Salisbury Park” and Roosevelt Field was (no, not an airfield) an open–air shopping center! I grew up listening to the same music we play on B103. Dan Ingram and “Cousin” Brucie on WABC were my heroes. If it weren’t for listening to Dan after school I’d probably be some boring tie-wearing guy making the big bucks. Yeah, back then I made the choice of having fun over having a fortune! There are few careers which offer as much fun as I’ve had being in live radio.

You may recognize my voice from other Long Island stations; WHLI, WGBB, WGSM, Magic 94.3 and WALK among others. The fun continues at B103. I wouldn’t be here if it didn’t!

When I’m not on the air I’m shooting pictures for the Long Island Region of New York State Parks. I’ve been a professional photographer for quite some time. I do graphics as well. You can enjoy my creations at www.jwphotoart.com.

In December 2009 I married my sweetheart. You’ll hear me speak often about “Flash” on B103. We have a great life together along with our cats: Molly, Indie and Flash II. We care for a number of feral felines too. Our much loved sailboat, “Meant To Be” is now with another skipper but we long for another boat while we take some time being land lubbers.

Thanks for checking in. I’ll see you on the radio…weekends and sometimes during the week on B103!
