music is played. My heart truly goes out to his family,
especially to his three young children. MICHAEL...the world

Sue from West Islip:
"I'll be there" takes me back to the idyllic summer days in
1971.That song was playing on the radio during one trip to the
neighborhood playground, and we sang along with Michael at the
top of our lungs! ... good times...
Cathy from Mastic:
I GREW UP LISTENING TO THE MUSIC OF THE JACKSON FIVE AND MY TEEN
YRS. WERE VERY MUCH FILLED WITH HIS MUSIC. MANY PEOPLE NOW MAY
HAVE THE WORST THINGS TO SAY ABOUT HIM BUT I HAVE A QUOTE FOR
THEM " HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN LET HIM CAST THE FIRST STONE",
THESE WORDS WERE SPOKEN BY JESUS WHEN MEN WERE CONDEMNING A
WOMEN AND WANTING TO STONE HER, SO IF YOU ARE ONE THAT HAS NEVER
SINNED, CAST THE STONES. BUT I HONESTLY THINK THERE IS NOT ONE
WHO CAN CLAIM THAT.
MICHAEL AND HIS ENTIRE FAMILY MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.
Diane from Medford:
I really enjoy listening to Michaels music. He was a great
entertainer. I loved to watch him move. I just wish he had not
done so much surgery on his face.
Ray from Selden:
My earliest memory of Michael is seeing him and the Jackson 5
depicted in an early 1970's Cartoon Series and an animated music
video of Michael singing "Rockin' Robin".
Desrena from Elmont:
I am so shocked I cant even think. My favorite memory of Michael
is watching the moon walk video and thinking that is on talented
brother.
Maria from Oceanside:
He was an icon for all generations and every nationality, he

Betty Jean from Riverhead:
MICHAEL JACKSON WAS SO DIFFERENT, BUT THAT IS WHAT MADE HIM
SO UNIQUE. HE HAD A SPECIAL WAY ABOUT HIM, THAT PEOPLE WERE
DRAWN TO HIS MUSIC,AND ENTERTAINMENT. HE WAS TRULY IN A LEAGUE
ALL HIS OWN. MICHAEL WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED; YESTERDAY, TODAY
AND TOMORROW. HE IS SOMEONE JUST LIKE ELVIS THAT YOU WILL NEVER,
EVER FORGET. HIS MUSIC WILL LIVE ON. LIKE BILLY JOEL SANG, "ONLY
THE GOOD DIE YOUNG" I ALWAYS LOVED "BILLIE JEAN" BECAUSE IT WAS
SO CLOSE TO MY OWN NAME. HIS MUSIC WILL LIVE ON FOREVER-
Sherri from Mastic Beach:
Very sad news....I was hoping for a Great comeback for him
in July, (kinda like Elvis's
68'comeback). My prayers go out to his children and family. I do
hope that the press
give them the space they need.
RIP MICHAEL always in our hearts....
Jennifer from East Islip:
This morning I watched the news and heard a quote by Rosie
Perez, and I couldn't agree more; "Michael Jackson's music was
the soundtrack to my childhood". As I look back on my youth his
talent and music is such a part of my life. Thriller was the
first album I owned, not because my Mom and Dad bought it, but
because I wanted it! As a young girl I remember watching the
world premier of Thriller and being terrified, yet so
enthralled. And as I grew up MJ was there shaping the American
culture. When I heard the news a piece of my youth, past, a
little part of who I am was lost. Thank you Michael Jackson for
gifting us your talent and vision. Michael Jackson may
physically be gone, but he has reached what so many strive for
and so few are able to grasp, immortality!
Sue from The Bronx:
I remember back in 1982 when my sister and I were going
downtown to meet her then boyfriend after work. We went to the
record store to look around. I remember seeing the Thriller
album out in plain sight. My sister asked me if I wanted to buy
it. I told her that I've never heard of Michael Jackson at the
time. I guess it's because I was too young to remember whenhe
was famous singing with his brothers. I asked her if his music
was any good. She bought me the album and we played that record
that night. All I can say was after listening to that album I
was hooked. I was only 10 years old at that time. To this day I
have remained a huge Michael Jackson fan. I never once believed
those accusations of Michael Jackson molesting children either.
To me personally, Michael Jackson will always be remembered as
the KIng of Pop forever.
Evol from Uniondale:
Thriller all the way Michael. RIP
Ann from Westbury:
The world has taken a great loss. I always felt that Micheal
Jackson was a kind soul who was given a bad rap by the press.
His talent was phenomenal. His music will live in our hearts
forever.
Angelica from New York:
Michael has and is always present in our lives. Our high
school dances, our proms, parties, clubbing, concerts, weddings,
our cars, our bedrooms, Michael has grown up with us and our
children.
Mary from North Babylon:
Watching the Jackson 5 cartoon on Saturday mornings when I
was little. I loved that Michael sang the song Ben for the movie
of the same name which was awesome. My favorite video was
Thriller with the voice of Vincent Price, it's a classic. My
prayers go out for his family.
Debbie from West Babylon:
When Michael hit the circuit so young, innocent and
definitely talented. long before all the drama and hype. He was
especially adorable when he sang BEN!!!
Donald from Farmingdale:
Before anyone really knew who Michael Jackson was, he sang
the song in BEN, the 1972 sequel to WILLARD. An ill boy
serenades a rat named Ben, with a sentimental song, I think
named "Ben". One line goes, "We both found what we were looking
for". It was likely one of Michael Jackson's earliest
vocals, in a movie. A little off-topic: Meredith Baxter
was SO beautiful, as the boy's older sister!
James from Middle Island:
My favorite Michael Jackson memory is the following: Michael
Jackson's hit songs were parodied by "Weird Al" Yankovic on more
than one occasion ("Beat It" and "Bad" became "Eat It" and
"Fat"). "Weird Al" never releases a parody without first getting
the artist's consent and approval, and Michael always gave his
consent, and said he was flattered to have his music parodied by
"Weird Al" and enjoyed "Weird Al's" versions of his songs.
Michael got the joke and appreciated "Weird Al's" sense of
humor, and didn't mind being made fun of. Michael had a sense of
humor too! He was very human...
Laurie from Lindenhurst:
I was 11 years old and Triller was the first album I ever
purchased. I will always remember Michael's songs and his love
for people. He definitely is THE KING OF POP. Rest in Peace
Michael.
Noah from Merrick:
I think his music made him who he was because I loved his
music. He will be missed by many of his fans.
Lucy from Ronkonkoma:
The loss of Michael Jackson is as profound as the loss of
Elvis, Frank Sinatra, John Lennon and any other musical icons of
the century. I grew up listening to The Jackson Five and can't
imagine one person on the planet, of my generation, who doesn't
own "Thriller" in vinyl and/or CD! Michael's talent will be
terribly missed and may he rest in peace.
David from Dix Hills:
I was deeply saddened by the loss of Michael Jackson. The
world truly lost the greatest entertainer to ever grace the
stage. He will always be remembered as someone who was dedicated
to his craft and showed how much he embraced the fans. He
treated the fans like they were family and he was the greatest
humanitarian who represented the music industry. His numerous
charitable contributions will never be forgotten and his
dedication to making people happy was great. From his days in
the Jackson 5 to his monumental success as a solo artist, he
was, is and always will be the King of Pop. Nobody will come
close to his accomplishments on and off the stage. My thoughts
and prayers go out to the entire Jackson family, especially his
3 children. I hope Michael Jackson is entertaining everyone in
heaven. RIP Michael Jackson.
