B103 and Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip are teaming-up to
honor Long Islanders whose generous efforts make Long Island a great place to
live, work, and raise a family!
Local, unsung heroes who do good for
the community...
...not for the
spotlight.
The dictionary defines a Good Samaritan
as...
"A compassionate person who unselfishly helps others."
Every Friday morning at 11:50am, B103
will pick the "Good Samaritan of the Week" who will receive:
a certificate
acknowledging his or her good deeds,
a picture on this website
& an invite
to a reception honoring all of our recipients!

Good Samaritan Winner Dennis Demarco
of Bay Shore (left, with B103's Keith Allen) Dennis has been described as a selfless, humble individual who
is always helping others. It has been said that Dennis has never
been heard to say a bad thing about anyone, as he is always trying
to see the good in all. Dennis volunteers to take a co-worker to
work every day and helps the elderly clean their yard and look after
their home when they are in Florida for the winter. For this and
many other reasons, Dennis Demarco is this weeks Good Samaritan of
